I'm Zoraya Davila. I'm an all-around creative artist, musician, composer, and poetry fanatic. I love creating with others and expanding my musical experience and talents. Music has always been a creative outlet to tell my story, hoping that it will help others. That is my plan to make my impact on the world, through music one melody at a time, developing my skills to further help others on the same path as me in the future.
My Story
I've always had a passion for music since I was a little girl. Growing up in Ricardo, a very small town located in South Texas, I grew up mainly listening to Country and Tejano music. Being surrounded by these styles of music, I started to get into dancing growing up. Having the ability to dance really helped me develop my rhythmic abilities. Music has always been a major part of my life, but I never realized how much it was until I entered middle school.
Joining the band in middle school, I learned that I have a natural calling in the world of symphonic instruments. I started on the clarinet and slowly worked my way into other instruments such as the violin, acoustic guitar, alto and tenor saxophone, and many more, even experimenting with the drums and percussion. Further into my music career in high school, I dabbled in the piano and melodic vocals and won a profound collection of accredited awards and honors from eight years of playing symphonic instruments, where I practiced in multiple genres. Continuing to learn music and the arts all the way through my school career gave me the push I needed to accept my passion in life, which is making music.
Today, I am still developing my overall musical ability and learning new things every day. Coming from a background in music since I was little, I really wanted to be in music any way I could. With experience in music theory and a wide range of instruments, I continue to make the music that I love to hear. I am further expanding my musical range by experimenting in different genres, hoping to become an expert in many fields and achieve my goals in the music industry as a film composer.
I want to create music that gives people a sense of euphoria, something that helped me get here today and what I believe everyone needs. I plan on developing my skills to the point that I am able to work for myself and with others as a film composer and to be able to express myself in a way that's unchained.
